# Delete workspace

> Delete a workspace and its member list with DELETE /v2/workspaces. Only the owner can do it, and shared applications keep running under their owner.

Requires an API key with the `workspaces:manage` [scope](/en/api-reference/authentication#scopes).

Permanently deletes a workspace and its member list. Only the workspace owner can call this endpoint; a member who no longer wants access should call [Leave Workspace](/en/api-reference/endpoint/workspace/leave) instead.

Deleting a workspace only removes the sharing relationship: the applications that were shared into it keep running under their original owner and are unaffected. To review who has access before deleting, call [Get Workspace](/en/api-reference/endpoint/workspace/get). This endpoint is rate limited to 1 deletion every 10 seconds per user.

## Common errors

| Code | HTTP | Meaning |
| - | - | - |
| `INVALID_ID` | 400 | `workspaceId` is missing. |
| `WORKSPACE_NOT_FOUND` | 404 | No workspace with that ID is owned by the caller. |
